I use the NXT for First LEGO League, and just for fun. Right now, I am 13, so its the last year I can do FLL. As for a newbie buying a bot, the latest is usually the best! ![[8-|]](/emoticons/emotion-15.gif) The 2.0 has new and cool sensors, but you might be able to get the 1.0 cheaper. Just one geek's opinion though!

I am now working on a NXT-G "virtual pet" program, inspired by "mindstorms-teen"'s project "A Virtual Pet." If anyone has any ideas, please post them!

Wow! Thanks, moderators!
I thought you all might like to hear about my "under construction" project, a four wheel drive, four wheel steering, four wheel independent suspension robot. It used to have a two-gear transmission but there was too much gear slippage. My gears were being ruined! It's still being worked on now.
I made it a lot simpler, linking two Power Functions XL motors to the drive shafts of the rear and front differentials and using one motor for steering. The XL motors are powered directly by the NXT. I also reduced the number of NXTs on it to one, and the less weight helps a lot. NatoNX
I will post it when I can, and I have not decided if it is done or not. That is because it has no bodywork, but it seems to work well enough without it, and I do not want extra weight.....oh, well, it is still my first 4x4x4! NatoNX
It is gone now. But I have pictures and videos, in my opinion on of them is really neat! I hope to posts some other projects, then this one... NatoNX P.S. Now I am working on a biped with seven motors.....I hope I can fit them all in!
I submitted the project with the 4 Wheel Drive car. Either a biped or an entry for the Snapbot challenge, or another robot is coming NeXT.... NatoNX ><> My biped and an entry for the Snapbot challenge are both on NXTLog now! You can also see a video for one of my older projects, and hopefully a 4X4X2X2 vehicle some time....

Well, besides Volume On/Off, you could have a volume level control.

Thanks. I will try to do that. I was also thinking of a "Delete Game" function in the options menu, as well as a "Instructions" option in the Main Menu. NatoNX ><>

Great ideas! So, like a tutorial on how to play the game? Cool!

Right now I'm trying to get on a second light senser because I found somthing really cool where you can tell the wheels to rotate a certain amount of times, then stop it, and when I was line tracking with this, I got the robot to stop right in front of a line we couldn't normally get passed so it's really cool but trust me, getting a second light sensor on is no easy buisness.

I have an observation to make: NatoNX and Spacedude seem to be the major builders/submitters/project bosses... you get the idea. It's like they control the "Mindstorms industry"! ( Not that I'm criticizing. You guys rock! Are you neighbors or something? You seem pretty close.) And, more Mindstorms-related, does anyone think the programming software could run on an old '98 Dell with (if memory serves) around 395 RAM (it may be more or less; It's been a while since I checked) updated with Windows XP? I reeeeealy want to get Mindstorms 2.0!

Um... wow, uh, thanks. No, we're not neighbors, just good friends... although that WOULD be cool if we were. I had an old '98 HP with 256 RAM (or was it 512...) and Win XP on it. The NXT-G 1.1 software ran pretty good on it. Does this help?
